When you start watercolor, you’ll notice that many tutorials use certain popular and high-quality paints. Unlike most hobbies, where we start simple and upgrade as we go, in watercolor, funny enough, you might find that pro tools (artist-grade, for example) are easier to use for beginners than the "beginner sets".

So what should you do if you don’t want to invest much, but just want to give watercolor painting a try?What about those cheap, no-brand watercolors that you have lying about at home, like mine?
